Roll Over

This just in...Owen can roll over!!! He's been getting really close the last few days, but today was the day! He rolled to the left, got a little stuck on his arm but didn't give up. Before we knew it he was all the way over on to his tummy!!!

So Mum went back to work today, so Dad looked after Owen for the day. Owen was fantastic and I wanted to say how much I love him and really enjoy watching him fall asleep with his sideway smirks and smiles. I 'm sure he missed Mummy but she will be the first thing he sees when he wakes up. Oh and why this photo of us? Well because it's of all of us and I didn't want to blog without a picture again.

Shake a head

Owen has recently found he has neck muscles and enjoys swinging his head from side to side. He has also been enjoying March of the Penguins, with all the high contrast white backgrounds and black penguins. Today whilst in his happy place he was over heard saying "ahh-goo".

Makes a grab for it

In the last few days Owen has taken to grabbing at and generally hitting this butterfly thing. He now occasionally grasps it and makes it move.

He is snug as a bug but for how long? Owen is now about 25 inches and not long for this bassinet, so we snapped a picture to remember the days.

Curiosity

Edwina and Patsy are warming up to Owen! Though they have been neglected lately and are considered second class citizens, they have accepted Owen into the pride.

8 weeks

At 8 weeks, Owen weighs in at 12 pounds and measures 24.75 inches in length! He handled his first round of shots like a champ...Mom is still recovering! Dad helps Owen relax after a long day!
