Christmas Part 1

Owen enjoyed his first Christmas over several days and in multiple cities. First stop Columbus Ohio, to meet Grandad, and spend time with Grandma. Along the way he saw his Great Uncles, Great Aunts, second cousins and friends.

Today Owen and Julia went to the North Pole (conveniently located inside Macy's) to see the big guy! Yup...SANTA! Owen can't wait...but while he does he's really enjoying the penguins!Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm???!!!!???

Xmas and trains

We took Owen to Grand Central yesterday where he saw the light display and the model train exhibit. This Photo is just before Owen grabbed the fence and snapped it off, we thought he managed to get the track!

Clap, eat, burble and scream!

AHH, we captured it all, Owen at the dinner table clapping, burbling, feeding himself and finally now on film his famous high pitched scream! Owen mainly walks now from place to place, he still cant get up from sitting so has to crawl to something to pull up. He now strokes Patsy, instead of pulling great chunks of fur off. He feeds himself, grapes if he could all the time. He's very vocal and now will point out objects that correspond to the images on his blocks ( guitar, quilt, rug, cat).

Marathon Sunday

Owen and Katy hold hands as they watch 30,000 runners come over the bridge from Brooklyn into Queens at their first NYC Marathon!!! We are often asked if they are twins! We don't mean to dress them alike!

He can leap safety gates in a single bound! He's got the strength of ten men! He's "super bat baby!" And he's getting super excited about halloween as he's wearing his new PJs from cousins Annie and Kate... Five minutes later...every super hero needs his rest!!!

Head first

Owen shocks us by working out stairs, shooting straight up em. Then crawling across the top before plunging down head first to mummy's arms.

Oh How Owen has grown.

Wow Owen walks, today we came across a walker and he got right up an walked off!!

Strangely he is wearing the same outfit as the first day he crawled which says, "see ya when the cows come home".

A tooth

Yes! Finally Owen has a tooth, and has for about a week or so. He is now working on the second. He has started to burble with his own hand, does "so big" and enjoys watching us do it whilst praising him for doing it. He is still pulling up on everything, does pull ups on the safety gates (they are not going to be useful up to two years!) , cruises and walks with help.

England 2007

Wow, Owen did great! Trains, planes and automobiles. He did great at flying, sleeping all the way to England, converting quickly to the time change. He met lots of new people, family and friends and dealt with new situations in his stride. Below are a few snapshots of his trip.
